Pourquoi votre pilote automatique a besoin d’un Mode Vent
Dans la course à la décarbonation du transport maritime, l’attention se porte souvent sur le « hardware » : les voiles ou les nouveaux carburants. Pourtant, chez D-ICE, nos recherches récentes démontrent qu’un gain d’efficacité majeur réside dans le « software ». Plus précisément, tout dépend de la manière dont le pilote automatique interagit avec le vent. En analysant des données provenant d'un navire roulier (Ro-Ro) hybride partenaire, nous avons prouvé que le pilotage traditionnel en « Mode Cap » (Heading Mode) passe à côté d'économies de carburant substantielles, des économies que notre Mode Vent est précisément conçu pour capturer.

From May 17 to June 10, 2024, the sailing vessel Morskoul carried out a pioneering expedition in the North Atlantic.
