About the position

Mission

We are looking for a strategic and business-oriented Product Manager to lead the development, positioning and adoption of D-ICE’s Navigation product suite (Autopilot, ECDIS, Routing) & Offshore (Dynamic Positioning & Digital ASOG).

You will combine market-facing leadership with strong product execution. You will meet shipowners, integrators, shipyards and technical operators, translate their operational challenges into product opportunities, and ensure our solutions deliver tangible business impact.

This role sits at the front line of our growth strategy.

Key Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Vision

  • Define and evolve the product vision for Navigation systems & Offshore Operations in alignment with D-ICE mission and long-term strategy.
  • Analyze market dynamics (regulation, digital navigation, decarbonization, dual fuel, Energy Saving Technologies, WASP).
  • Build and maintain a multi-year product & service roadmap across Navigation and Offshore operations
  • Identify niches and markets on which D-ICE should position and build adequate product strategy

Market & Customer Engagement

  • Meet shipowners, shipyards, integrators and technical managers in Europe and abroad (expected travel 20 to 30%).
  • Conduct discovery meetings, gather operational feedback and validate product assumptions on real vessels.
  • Map competitive landscapes, pricing models, certification constraints (MED, IMO, DP2/3), and adoption barriers.
  • Represent D-ICE in customer workshops, onboard trials, industry events and technical committees.

Product Execution

  • Convert customer insights into structured requirements and prioritize frameworks based on impact and feasibility.
  • Collaborate closely with Engineering teams to bring new features and systems to market.
  • Manage the products launch and life cycle

Go-to-Market & Business support

  • Lead the creation of product presentation packs: pitch decks, value propositions, product overviews.
  • Support Sales & Marketing in defining pricing, segmentation, positioning and product messaging.
  • Contribute to tender responses, partner presentations, demos and technical sales activities.

Required Skills

You are a product-driven and business-minded professional who loves working with customers as much as building strategy. You excel at navigating technical environments while keeping the focus on value, adoption and impact.

Required Skills & Experience

  • MSc degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Naval Architecture or equivalent.
  •  5–10+ years of experience in Product Management or technical/operational roles in maritime navigation, DP, control systems, marine electronics, simulation, or ship operations.
  • Direct exposure to clients, ideally in a role mixing product, business and field interactions
  • Strong understanding of maritime regulations, navigation practices, and/or vessel operations.
  • Proven ability to manage complex product roadmaps with hardware-software interactions.
  • Experience working with engineering teams (embedded, control, simulation, UI/UX).
  • Fluent in English and French 
  • Willingness to travel internationally (Europe + occasional long-haul).
